Odeeh: Warum dieses Label so besonders ist

Odeeh: Why this label is so special

There are brands you buy. And there are brands you keep coming back to. Not because you have to, but because you want to. For me, Odeeh falls into the second category. And has for years.

I still remember the first piece I held in my hands. A coat. I touched it, and before I even thought about whether it suited me, whether it fit, whether it was "mine" — I just knew. That's how it is with Odeeh. You recognize it immediately.

What Otto Drögsler and Jörg Ehrlich do differently

Odeeh is a Munich-based label, founded by Otto Drögsler and Jörg Ehrlich. Both have decades of experience. Drögsler spent many years at Jil Sander, and Ehrlich comes from textile development. You can feel this background in every piece: the clarity of the cut, the understanding of materials, the restraint that is never indifference.

What fascinates me about Odeeh is this very specific form of intelligence in design. The collections are never loud. No superfluous details, no gestures for the sake of gesturing. And yet, every piece is unmistakably and uniquely Odeeh, without needing a logo to make it so.

Cuts that support

I often hear that fashion should be "self-confident." What I love about Odeeh is that the clothing does the exact opposite: it leaves the self-confidence to the woman who wears it.

The proportions are carefully considered. A wide sleeve that doesn't look heavy. A neckline that sits perfectly without needing to explain itself. Skirts with a weight in the fabric that creates movement, not restricts it. Odeeh pieces don't flatter in a cheap way. They respect the body that lives in them.

I wear Odeeh on days when I want to be present without seeming over-the-top. On days when I want to wear something good that gives me space. That might sound abstract, but anyone familiar with Odeeh knows exactly what I mean.

The quality you don't see, but feel

Odeeh works with fabrics that you have to search for. Heavy crepe wools, finely structured cottons, qualities that might not immediately stand out in a store, but look just as good after the third, fifth, tenth wear as they did on the first.

For me, this is a crucial criterion: How does a piece behave over time? Does it wrinkle in a way that doesn't smooth out? Does it lose its shape? Does the color fade? With Odeeh, I haven't asked these questions in years. The pieces last and they age in a way I can only describe as dignified.

Why we carry Odeeh at Wirschke

We don't select based on popularity, marketing budget, or what's currently loud on the world's runways. We select based on what's truly good. On what lasts, what endures, what remains.

Odeeh fulfills these criteria in a way that I have learned to appreciate more deeply throughout my work. It's a label that doesn't need much explanation and yet has so much to tell upon closer inspection.

For me personally, Odeeh is what I mean when I say: quality that you don't buy to show off, but to give something to yourself.
