Nestled in the quiet hills of the British countryside lies the traditional heart of English silk printing: Macclesfield. Once home to numerous manufacturers producing the incomparable screen-printed silk so prized by connoisseurs, today only two remain to produce the material known internationally as "British Neats," including for Shibumi . However, they can now also print pocket squares using inkjet printers, easily recognizable by the subtle white sheen on the reverse (in block printing, the fabric is primed). This modern printing method is particularly well-suited to light, summery colors, which is why we have used it here.
