The classic. If a man should only own one pocket square, it should be this one. You often read about "must-haves," "essentials," etc. – in this case, it's truly true. As with all our linen pocket squares, we recommend the TV fold (simply fold the square in half so that a rectangle approximately 1.25 cm high remains visible; the hand-rolled edges will, of course, be noticeable).
It pairs particularly well with more formal combinations such as a dark suit, white shirt, dark tie, and black shoes – but it also looks great with a tweed jacket. As mentioned, this pocket square is a true all-rounder in your wardrobe. White linen always looks fresh and gives the wearer a fresh and confident appearance. Our white linen pocket squares are made from genuine Irish linen, a fabric with a rich history: Before textile production largely disappeared in Europe, Ireland processed a great deal of linen, primarily due to the ideal conditions the country offers. Today, only a handful of the finest manufacturers remain. Linen production is demanding – wool, for example, is significantly less sensitive to fluctuations in humidity or temperature during spinning and combing the fibers.
Thanks to its long tradition and years of experience, our supplier knows these conditions intimately and has mastered them perfectly. Irish water is also exceptionally well-suited for fabric production due to its exceptional softness. All these factors combine to create a fabric whose quality is almost impossible to describe – but when you touch a piece of Irish linen and a piece of regular linen, the difference is immediately apparent.
