SILK
Chinese legend says that silk was first discovered by the beautiful concubine Lei Zu. She was drinking tea in a garden when some wild cocoons fell into her bowl. As she attempted to remove them, she saw the fine silk threads that seemed to go on forever. While we can't say for sure who discovered silk, we can trace its use back to ancient China. Via the Silk Road, the material reached Europe, where it became a royal luxury. The luster and delicate feel of silk make it ideal for elegant outfits in any season.
3-FOLD
When most people think of a tie, they usually think of a classic 3-fold construction. Although it's the simplest construction in the VIOLA MILANO collection, it's by no means an inferior option. Creating a beautiful tie lies in balance, and the minimalist 3-fold version is the perfect choice. The finish is ideal for light summer ties or for heavy fabrics that would be too heavy and bulky with other constructions.
SELF-TIPPED
The inside of the tie is made of the same material as the rest of the tie. Although this part of your tie isn't usually visible, VIOLA MILANO uses the same material for both the inside and outside of the tie. This construction method is called self-tipping, and while it's more expensive to produce, it also creates a higher-quality, more durable tie that certainly won't disappoint.
