There are moments when ready-to-wear reaches its limits – no matter how beautiful it may be. When the shoulder doesn't quite fit, the sleeve is a touch too long, or you simply want to wear something that is one of a kind.
Our selection is carefully curated. For suits, blazers, and coats, we carry most of our brands exclusively – houses that not only offer ready-made collections, but can also individually adapt every piece in cut, fit, and material. Because our partners work so closely with individual pieces, we take it a step further and offer genuine bespoke tailoring.
This means: We do not optimize an off-the-rack piece. We create an independent garment – designed exclusively for you. Whether it is about your personal taste or body measurements that never sat right off the rack, it makes no difference to us. What our house has stood for on the Königsallee since 1946: time, craftsmanship, and a conversation that begins with a question – “What feeling should this piece awaken in you?”

Two Approaches for Suits, Blazers, and Coats
For suits, blazers, and coats, we take two different approaches. In full bespoke tailoring, a pattern is constructed from scratch for you, with several intermediate fittings. In made-to-measure tailoring, a proven basic cut is precisely adapted to your measurements. We offer both approaches – with two different houses that stand for exactly that.
Caruso – Made-to-Measure, from €1,900
At Caruso, we take the fitting of a ready-made piece directly in our house. Depending on the model chosen, your suit will be made with a half- or full-canvas. The measurements go to Italy, where a pattern is created exclusively for you – which remains permanently on file and can be retrieved and fine-tuned with every subsequent order. Thanks to Caruso's technical know-how, this is not limited to length or width: We also adapt the arm width, button height, or lapel angle – details that no ready-to-wear cut knows: posture, shoulder line, balance. A made-to-measure tailor with this level of depth is rarely found.
Orazio Luciano – Full Bespoke, from €3,500
Orazio Luciano is a small, classic sartoria in Naples that places no limits on its customers' wishes. One hundred percent handwork is in every piece, and the construction – such as the canvas work – also follows no fixed guidelines, but entirely your wish. In full bespoke tailoring, your cut is created from scratch, several fittings on request are of course possible – and this pattern also remains permanently on file and can be picked up again with every subsequent order.
Every piece bears the signature of true Neapolitan tailoring: The sleeve can be fitted as a “spalla camicia” – like a shirt, with a slight gathering at the shoulder for a soft, natural shoulder line. For those who prefer it more structured, a classic shoulder line is also available. The chest pocket is classically cut in a boat shape (barchetta), and the buttonholes are worked by hand (asola a mano). The sleeve buttons are also real, functional sleeve buttons instead of decorative buttons. The edge is double-stitched by hand (AMF), and in the lining, you decide how many inner pockets you want.
Which approach is right depends less on which one is “better,” than on how much time, freedom, and attention to detail you want for your piece: Caruso stands for precisely fitted ready-to-wear with Italian manufacturing depth, Orazio Luciano for a piece that is created exclusively for you from scratch.
Fabrics from Europe's Best Weavers
Both houses draw on the looms of Drapers, Fox Brothers, Loro Piana, Tallia di Delfino, Solbiati, Holland & Sherry, Ariston, and other renowned manufacturers for your pieces. We take the time to feel the fabrics, compare weights, and check the color in daylight.
Made-to-Measure Shirts – Two Signatures
For shirts, we work with two houses: E. Maffeis from Bergamo and 100 Hands. The difference from a ready-to-wear shirt is also evident in the technical details: The interlining in the collar and cuffs is not permanently glued, but loosely sewn in. You decide how stiff the collar should be – or forgo interlining altogether. All buttons are made of mother-of-pearl, available in different colors and sizes. Side and sleeve seams are consistently French-sewn.
E. Maffeis, from approx. €420
From Bergamo, with the typical sartorial, clean look. During production, you choose between three levels of craftsmanship: full handwork, partially hand-sewn seams, or standard production. A special detail is the sartorial collar: In the undercollar, a canvas insert ensures that the tie does not slip. The buttons partly come from an exclusive, patented development by E. Maffeis.
100 Hands, from €400
At 100 Hands, the same three levels are also available to you – full handwork, partial handwork, or standard production. The difference: Even in the standard shirt, the collar and button placket are fundamentally sewn by hand, which gives the shirt a slightly looser, more modern feel from the outset. 100 Hands also produces overjackets and overshirts as a more modern blazer alternative, from €1,500.
How Your Made-to-Measure Appointment Works
1. The Conversation
Before a single measurement is taken, we talk about the occasion, your everyday life, and your wardrobe. A suit for the law firm needs something different than one for a summer wedding.
2. The Fabric Selection
Our tailors bring the fabric books of the major Italian and English clothmakers. This step takes the most time – more than taking the measurements themselves.
3. Taking the Measurements
At Caruso, it is based on a ready-made piece, at Orazio Luciano, in the classic construction of a new cut. Please plan around one hour for your appointment.
4. Production in Italy
Your piece is created at your chosen house – at Caruso, depending on the model, with half- or full-canvas, at Orazio Luciano in pure Neapolitan handwork, optionally with spalla camicia, with a Barchetta pocket, and hand-worked buttonholes, completely without fixed construction guidelines.
5. The Fitting at Our House
After about six weeks, your piece comes to us in Düsseldorf. At the fitting, we make the final adjustments – until everything fits.

Available Year-Round
Our made-to-measure program is not a special event: Our trained staff takes your made-to-measure order on any other day in the house. We keep all necessary sample pieces and fabrics constantly in stock for this.
Delivery Time
From taking the measurements to the fitting at our house, it usually takes around six weeks. Faster delivery is possible by prior arrangement and for an additional charge. One exception is August: Due to the summer holidays in Italy, no production takes place during this month, and delivery is accordingly postponed.

Yes. Our trained staff handles custom orders year-round, every other day – we always keep sample parts and fabrics in stock.
